You want to have your apartment in an old Parisian building remodeled. The problem is, it is on the fifth floor, there is no elevator, and the stairway gets narrower, the closer it gets to the top floor. How do you transport materials to and from the site? Problem solved! We were walking along one morning on the Ile Saint Louis, and we saw this piece of equipment in operation.
The equipment is in place.
Up goes the elevator cart.
Voila! The cart reaches the fifth floor.
The cart is on its way back down loaded with materials.
The contents of the cart are loaded onto the truck.
